Character Description

Fighting a desperate battle against the First Order requires the best pilots and these brave men and women are that and more; the skilled and daring X-wing pilots of the Resistance are the first in to fight off any invading TIE fighters in space or in the air. These brave pilots, clad in orange suits and white vests reminiscent of their Rebel Alliance pilot predecessors, fly into battle at the controls of the agile Incom-FreiTek T-70 X-wing starfighter. They play an important role in restoring freedom to the galaxy once again!

Notes:

These standards allow for the combination of costume details seen in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Both versions are allowed to be mixed-and-matched unless specified otherwise. However, for easier clarification details that were specific to a particular movie will be marked with the abbreviations “(TFA)” for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and “(TLJ)” for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

REQUIRED ITEMS
  1. Flightsuit:
    https://image.ibb.co/ediP9R/poe_down.jpg
(Source: Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
    Required Details:
    1. One-piece flightsuit with no waist band made of a heavy orange-red material with a thick, grainy texture.
    2. A strip of 2 inch to 2 ½ inch (5 to 6.35 cm) pleated/ruffled inch trim goes down the outside of each arm starting from the base of the suit collar and going straight down either arm to the sleeve cuff, and is curled under the cuff and stitched in place.
    3. The sleeves must be finished in one of the follow ways:
      1. The sleeve ends roughly 1 to 1 1/2 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm) above the wrist and a piece of dark gray ribbed wool or similar material is attached to the end of the sleeve. The cuff is sewn onto the inside of the sleeve to give the appearance of a shirt sleeve cuff.
      2. The sleeve ends at the wrist or slightly beyond and does not have a dark gray wool cuff.
    4. A standing collar made of the same ruffled/ribbed trim as which goes down the sleeve. It is backed with the suit material. The collar attaches to the collar of the suit and is 2 inches to 2 1/2 inches (5 to 6.35 cm). The collar must be able to close. The collar must be closed in either of these two ways:
      1. One end of the collar is attached to the left collar edge (wearer’s right) of the suit top, wraps around the back and wraps around the front with roughly a 1/4 inch to 1/5 inch (0.6 to 1.3 cm) overlapping the first end of the collar, mandarin style. This overlapping edge goes passed the zipper cover (described below). The collar closes with three or four black or silver hook-and-loop clasps. The collar opens to the wearer’s left.
      2. Both ends of the collar are positioned directly in the center of the suit and does not overlap. To close, the sides of the collar touch and hook together via a hidden fastener.
      3. (Example of collar: https://image.ibb.co/daV5qU/Resistance_Collar01.jpg)
    5. The collar and sleeve trim are red-orange in color and may be up to one or two shades lighter or darker than the color of the suit.
    6. Top-stitched yoke seams approximately 4 inches (6 cm) below the lowest point of the collar and pointing up slightly toward the shoulder seams that run horizontally across the chest and back of the suit top. Two seams total, one on the front, one on the back.
    7. Pen loop strip that is 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch (2.5 to 3.8 cm) strip of material of the same material as the suit. The strip is divided into three equal-width pen loops with roughly 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch (0.63 cm to 1.2 cm) between each loop, and is stitched directly over the arm trim. The loops must remain empty, nothing goes in them.
    8. Zipper cover made of the suit material and which runs down the center of the suit. The top of this strip is either sewn under the collar (for the style A collar described above) or the top of the strip sits directly beneath the collar(for the style B collar). The strip goes straight down the zipper and ends at the crotch. This strip is stitched down along the leftmost edge (wearer’s left).
    9. Chestbox clip strap sewn onto the zipper cover approximately 4 or 5 inches (10 to 13 cm) below the collar and is roughly 2 inches (5 cm) wide. This strap can be made of either the orange-red suit material or a piece of silver-gray or charcoal webbing. Edges must be tucked under before being stitched down, no unfinished edges.
    10. Adjustment strap made of 1 inch (2.5 cm) silver-gray webbing with the outside ends either sewn into the side seams of the top (TFA) or with the edges folded under and stitched down over the top of the suit top side seams (TLJ). A 1 inch (2.5 cm) black plastic side-release buckle is on the strap at roughly the center, but is acceptable to have it slightly to one side or the other. It must be a black plastic side-release buckle; silver metal buckles, slides of any color or center-release or front-release buckles are not acceptable. The strap is sewn above the waist seem so as to be visible above the belt.
    11. The suit pants legs of the suit are straight legs. The ends of the pants legs should end about a ½ inch above the foot of the boot and should be layered over the boot (TFA) or can be tucked into the boot (TLJ). There is a seam running down the center outside of the leg as well as the center inside of the leg.
    12. The flightsuit features a pair of chaps made of the same orange-red material as the suit. The chaps are made in two pieces, a front half and a back half, with a seam running down the inside and outside center of them, matching the seams on the pants. The chaps wrap around the front and back of the legs and curve up at the outside of the hip, ending in a straight edge about one inch below the waist seam, and this top edge is stitched down. The chaps go down the legs and end directly below the knee with a straight stitch across them. The bottom edge of the chaps are stitched onto the pants leg. There should also be a line of stitching on the inside of the legs of the chaps to keep them in place. The rest of the chaps are not stitched down to the pants.
    13. On both chaps there is a full rectangular cargo pocket on the knee of the chaps with a closure flap over the top of each one. These are centered on the front of the legs. Neither cargo pocket should go lower than the bottom edge of the chaps.
    14. On the chap of the wearer’s left is a larger rectangular cargo pocket with no closure flap. This pocket has a wide upper edge that is folded over. This pocket features decorative stitching in one of two options: a ladder stitch along the front length of the pocket from bottom to top (under the folded upper edge) done with a close zig-zag stitch (TFA) or vertical stripe stitching going down the face of the folded upper edge (TLJ). Please pick one, not both. These pocket is positioned on the outside of the wearer’s left thigh, higher than the knee cargo pocket.
    15. Behind the side cargo pocket mentioned just previously is another smaller flat pocket, a simple rectangular piece of material with an open top sat directly behind the cargo pocket, with the top edge sitting slightly higher than the top of the cargo pocket.
    16. A flat map pocket with a closure flap sits on the front of the wearer’s right thigh. The side that faces toward the inside of the leg is rounded (as is the closure flap) while the other side is straight, making a sort of elongated D shape. This pocket is flat, not puffy like the previous cargo pockets.
    17. One more large puffy rectangular cargo pocket, this one with a closure flap, is on the outside of the wearer’s right thigh, roughly at the same height as the left thigh cargo pocket but is sat farther back. The frontmost edge of this cargo pocket is layered over the back edge of the rounded map pocket. It has no decorative stitching.
    18. Directly beneath the bottom edges of the chaps are a length of silver-gray 1 inch (2.5 cm) webbing, one strap on each leg. The straps wrap around the legs and the ends are sewn into the inside seam of the pants legs. The straps are flat to the pants with no sag, they may need to be stitched in place with a matching thread to keep them tight. There is a square metal slide on the front center of each strap in either silver or gunmetal. Black or plastic slides are not acceptable.
    19. There are no chest pockets on the suit. There are also no rear pockets.
Optional Details: The left cargo pocket may also have no decorative stitching at all.

    1. The flak vest consists of two pieces that are stitched together, a vest and a "Mae West" section. Both pieces are required and must be stitched together around the vest collar and down the front opening sides of the vest. Both pieces are made from a smooth off-white material with a fine texture.
    2. The vest section of the flak vest consists of a large squarish back with circular arm holes with ten 1 1/2 inch (3.8 cm) wide evenly spaced ribs (the number and size of ribs may need to be adjusted depending on the wearer's height, i.e. less for shorter costumers but no more for taller costumers). The last rib stops roughly 2 inches (5 cm) above the bottom edge of the back of the vest.
    3. The front of the vest wraps around the body, stitched together at the sides, and each front side of the vest is made of two pieces, a rectangular upper piece with five ribs of the same width as the ribs on the back, and a lower L-shaped section, which are sewn together under the Mae West.
    4. There is an open squarish section on the outside of the front vest, on each side, between the rectangular vest piece and the L-shaped piece, and connecting between them is a length of 1 inch white webbing.
    5. The Mae West portion of the vest is a U-shaped piece with a stuffed collar around the neck, the long front sections hang down the front of the torso.
    6. On the wearer's right side of the Mae West vest are seven ribs again of the same width as all other ribs
    7. The wearer's left side of the Mae West has two ribs.
    8. Below the seven Mae West ribs is a wide ring of material, the same material as the vest, with a piece of black mesh within the ring's hole.

    11. Roughly 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) above the two ribs (wearer's left side) the words "PULL TO INFLATE" printed in the Star Wars language of Aurebesh and are displayed and positioned up-side down. The text is black and must be screen printed or ironed on, not written by hand.
    12. Roughly 5 inches (13 cm), give or take, above the text is a black Rebel/Resistance starbird insignia which, again, must be screen printed or ironed on, not drawn by hand.
    13. A single strip of 2 inch (5 cm) wide white herringbone bias tape wraps around the vest, the center of which is positioned on the back of the vest under the last rib and is stitched down along the top and bottom edges and  in the very center has a rectangular stitch with an X stitch in the center of the rectangle. The loose ends of the bias tape loop around either side of the vest with a bit of a loose hang, and the end of the strip is stitched underneath the front of the Mae West, closest to the rolled vest edge. Another stitch keeps it in place at the other edge of the Mae West.

The edging material should be the same as the holster frame (TLJ).
      • (For TLJ holster only) 1 inch (2.5 cm) silver-gray leg strap and with two overlaid silver and/or gunmetal metal rectangular loop rings on the front of the strap and two small silver Chicago screws rivets, flat side facing out, along with a strap loop using the same webbing that the leg strap feeds through (TLJ).
      • Both top and bottom ends of the holster are open, allowing the blaster to be inserted through and the barrel tip to stick out from the bottom of the holster.
